I take on very few films. The most recent one I took on had a small budget and had been shelfed for four years because the filmmakers hadn’t been able to do anything with it. I took it directly to distributors and received a minimum guarantee with cash upfront, which is unheard of for such small budget films in the current industry.
I know most sales agencies active in the game:
- who is looking for what
- who is likely to abide by their agreement, and who isn’t.
- who will be best for your movie
I will often sell directly to distributors, saving you a big percentage, as I know most SVOD platforms and independent film distributors directly in both U.S. and foreign territories.
Additionally, I will help put a marketing strategy together for your film. This is something most filmmakers don’t focus on but it is essential if you want your movie seen as widely as possible. This includes:
- Social media marketing
- Billboards(how to get them cheaper)
- Independent cinema release
- Youtube and how to get on big channels with millions of subscribers and bring eyes to your movie
- PR
Further, if your film is accepted I will negotiate on your behalf to get you a better deal.
Consulting
After 10 years in talent management, 4 years in social media marketing, and 3 years in producing I am consulting in the following areas:
Talent Management:
- If you are an actor I will advise you on headshots, representation, email outreach, social media, and any other questions you may have.
- If you are looking to start a talent management company or talent agency I will give you advice and what worked for me starting with zero experience.
Screenwriting:
- After reading 1000’s of scripts I will use my experience to give you notes on your script as well as advice on getting it sold or produced.
- I will advise you on getting reps as a screenwriter.
Production:
- I’ve packaged and raised funding on feature films. Including having raised over $100k in crowdfunding.
- I will advise you on fundraising, packaging, distribution, financing, festival planning, and more.
